"Education is the passport to the future" Malcom X
My name is David Shand and I am the UIC Team Leader for the development of the brand new Jamaican Constitution. Every Jamaican must be educated on their fundamental human rights and freedoms. A system of good governance must be employed to protect those rights. Join us as we dive into the creation of a new Jamaica.
My name is David St Patrick Shand, 27 years of age born December 3rd, 1993. I served the country of Jamaica for 6 years in the capacity of a Police Officer. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica, however, my family migrated to the country area where I spent my early days. Fast forward to my pre-teen I moved back to Kingston to complete my schooling where I spent my secondary years at Calabar High School. Whilst at Calabar I took an interest in Law and politics as a result my studies focused on gearing me for that career path. With my family not having the financial backing to fully pursuing law and politics, the passion led me to serve in the police force, engaging instead, in corrective measures, nurturing the minds of the youths. When I don't have my work face on I dabble a bit in music and no I'm not a singer but I appreciate the art form. Or I enjoy a quick game of pool. My dream and vision for Jamaica is to have an educated population. The great Malcolm X once said "Education is the passport to the future"
