Access to Information Request - Court Cases Brought Against the Government of Jamaica

The United Independents' Congress has sent an official email requesting access to information in relation to cases brought before the courts against the Government of Jamaica.

Attn. Mrs. Arlene Harrison-Henry, Under the Access to Information Act of 2002 giving Jamaican citizens the legal right to access some official government documents. I hereby give notice of my intent to assert this right conferred under said legislation. In the interest of the vital and fundamental democratic principles to be upheld by this act. I hereby make the following request for information held by your office. 1. A listing of cases brought before the courts against the government(s) or any agency of said government for the breaches during the calendar year January to December 2020. 2. A listing of attorneys engaged by the OPD and the cost for the calendar year January to December 2020. 3. A copy of the OPD budgeted expenditure for the calendar year January to December 2020 showing all lines of recurrent, capital and operating expenditure.
