JAMAICANS SELECT THEIR CANDIDATE
The UIC is unlike any other political movement in the world. Transparency, inclusivity and objectivity are three of our biggest features. Which is why we want you to nominate, watch debates and vote for the candidate you think is best suited to represent you.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
NOMINATE A CANDIDATE
Any Jamaican can nominate a candidate using their mobile device or computer, whether they are a UIC Member or not. The Candidate will be vetted by the UIC's National Executive Council before moving on to the debate process.
LIVE DEBATE
The Debates will run through November, ending on December 4th. This will be streamed live on UIC Liberty TV. UIC Liberty TV streams on Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
VOTE!
UIC Members vote for their desired candidate. You must be a registered member of the United Independents' Congress to vote for a candidate. Voter's ID and application requirements are enforced.
ELECTION DAY
Voting period is between December 8th and 9th. The results will be announced after the UIC's Annual Members Congress on December 10th. Information and details on how to vote will be supplied only to registered UIC members.

1. Can I nominate someone?
As long as the pieces are small, yes. I use it for nails and for resin. Works great.
2. How will you prevent persons from becoming a part of the movement and corrupting it?
Each nominee is interviewed and vetted before they are allowed to debate or be confirmed as a candidate or a member of the exectuive.
3. Is the UIC a registered political party?
Yes, the United Independents' Congress is a registered political party in Jamaica
4. Can I sign up to become a candidate or a member of the executive?
Yes you can, however you must register by October 23rd and complete your interview by November 6th. Register here https://uicjamaica.nationbuilder.com/uic_executive_and_council_nomination
5. How do I vote in the UIC's internal elections?
You must be a registered member of the UIC to vote. Sign up here to become a member https://uicjamaica.nationbuilder.com/become_a_uic_member. The other requirement is confirmation of voters ID or a vocal confirmation that you have applied.
